🌳How Solarpunks Protect Rainforest
Saving the World is now the World's Greatest Game
As a new Internet built on game engines emerges because of hyperobjects, we wanted to create ways for that growth to positively impact the real world too, and help turn saving the world into the world’s greatest game.
To that end, we’ve partnered with Rainforest Foundation US to help safeguard 4MM+ acres of Amazon rainforest in Peru, supporting on-the-ground work with the Matsés Indigenous people.
In-game → IRL:
A percentage of eligible item sales and Solarpunk avatar mints funds patrol posts, satellite monitoring, & conservation operations.
We’ll surface /impact stats in the Basejump Battle Buddy bot in Discord, so you can monitor both your personal impact + total community protection.
Future: dynamic patches/visuals on your avatar tied to real conservation milestones.
Support from gamers on Basejump and the wider ACTION community will help augment Rainforest Foundation US’ work safeguarding the Matses territory—an expansive area of over four million acres.

Proceeds will be used to implement conservation and monitoring efforts, including the construction of small guard posts along key river tributaries. These guard posts will help Matses communities monitor and regulate entry into their lands. Once the Matses territory is fully funded, we plan to level up our work with RFUS and expand to additional regions across the world.
As the Basejump and ACTION communities grow, so will our impact. By blending technology, gaming, culture and conservation, we’re working to fulfill a core promise of decentralized systems: helping people to organize in new ways and solve complex problems, establishing next generation rails for a better Internet, and a healthier planet.
